CRO Business Development Director

This organisation is one of the most prominent and prestigious in the industry providing a wide range of services to the global pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

The purpose of this position is three-pronged in as much as you will be expected to develop and oversee total sales strategy, identify and expand new business opportunities whilst serving as overall Customer/Account relationship manager and strategic business partner.

In that measure, this post will best suit someone who can:

• Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities
• Analyse potential opportunities and develop detailed business plans and sales strategies
• Work with Project Directors and Function Managers to identify sales team and prepare presentation
• Educate team participants in Customer/Account culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale
• Leads the entire sales process, including identifying the appropriate team for pitch and preparing and leading the sales presentation

The necessary skills required in order to successful carry out the position are:

• 5-10 years experience within the CRO, pharmaceutical or medical devices industries
• Business Experience within Phase I, IIa and Bioanalytical
• Degree in business or scientific discipline
• Demonstrable competency in sales or business development preferably for a Contract Research Organization or company providing services to the healthcare industry (knowledge of FDA regulated drug development process helpful
