Business Controller

Our client is one of the key global players in the logistics industry. The company is a worldwide logistics partner for many different multinational clients and is one of the ventures of a US private equity firm. Their global head office is based in Hoofddorp. To strengthen their finance organisation we are now looking for a solid finance professional who can join the team of business controllers at their head office in Hoofddorp.
You will have exposure to senior (International) management in a global company and you will be part of an international dynamic team of professionals.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and maintain best in class management information, business review, forecasting and budgeting processes;
• Production of insightful analysis of business performance to support management decision making;
• Act as financial support on significant business change and capex projects (M&A, restructuring, business process improvement);
• Analyse the Group’s actual and historical performance and produce insightful monthly management information to support decision making;
• Linking management information to the key drivers (commercial, financial and external) of the Group’s business;
• Continuously improve the forecasting (Latest Estimate process) and management information processes.
Support in:
• Annual budget process and long range planning process
• Quarterly forecasting and latest estimate processes
• Business review processes
• Investment proposal process
• Improve performance measurement based on key performance indicators
• Analysis and support for strategic investment / divestments
• Support strategic board level projects as required
• Support external reporting as required
• Provide financial periodic reports (monthly, quarterly and annually) on behalf of management
• Interface with operating company management teams
Ideal candidate profile
• University degree in (business) economics/accountancy
• Preferably supplemented with RC education
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a complex, international setting
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Reliable and strong personality
• Proven track record of base analytical capabilities
