About us
Praktikawelten is a society for traineeships and volunteer work worldwide, offering young, mostly inexperienced travellers the opportunity to live and work in a foreign culture. The traineeship and volunteering programs are offered in various countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. We are a German organisation which has been organising traineeships and volunteer work in Accra, Ghana, since 2004. Our participants are usually between 18 and 35 years old and live in our houses in Accra during their stay in Ghana. Find more information about our organisation at www.praktikawelten.de
Job Description
- The main task is the organisation and support of our volunteers and trainees during their program in Ghana (e.g. organisation of airport transfer, kick-off meetings, weekly leisure activities, coordination of project jobs).
- 24/7 support: Together with our team, you are locally available by phone to answer and solve all questions and problems of our program participants at any time.
- You take care of the coordination and assignment of the individual projects (e.g. social work, teaching, journalism, marketing, etc.) and you are the contact person for our headquarter in Munich.
- Furthermore, you are in charge of one of our Praktikawelten houses (e.g. coordination of employees, coordination of maintenance, etc.).
Requirements:
- at least 25 years old
- experiences in tourism or volunteering
- reliability, assertiveness and managerial skills
- capacity for understanding & a very good knowledge of the place
- good knowledge of German language is beneficial
- good knowledge of Twi language
- PC skills: Word, Excel, email, Internet
