Due to continued growth, EURAPHARMA has recently created a subsidiary in Ghana following a very successful strategic alliance with the leading local pharmaceutical distributor. In order to reinforce the general management team, and the financial management structure, EURAPHARMA has created a new expatriation position for a :
Deputy General Manager Ghana
Based in Accra
Role :
Reporting directly to the General Manager, with a functional reporting to the Zone Director of EURAPHARMA, you will have a small team of direct reports. As a member of the management team, you will act as guarantor for the management of the subsidiary assets, as well as ensuring their optimisation.
Responsible for all finance & accounting functions within the business, you will ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, pricing and forecasting, encouraging that proper accounting systems and procedures are in place. As a Deputy General Manager, you will be a key partner in driving the business forward by providing strategic advice & support, and making concrete recommendations. You will replace the General Manager in his absence.
Profile :
• Business background (MBA, etc.) with a specialization in finance &/or a professional Accounting related degree (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum of 8 years solid experience preferably within the distribution sector, with significant exposure to an Anglo Saxon business environment
• Previous management experience is preferably within a dynamic fast growing, entrepreneurial company.
• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage, but is not a pre-requisite
• Good knowledge of Africa is necessary & significant international exposure
• Bilingual English, linguistic capabilities in French would be a real advantage.
