Offshore Tax Accountant – Isle of Man

This Isle of Man division of a Global Advisory, Trust & Corporate Services and Asset Management organisation seeks to add an experienced Tax Accountant for one of its core central departments.

Working out of its Isle of Man head office you can expect to be supplying your skills and expertise to clients of all the main divisions. Your core duties will revolve around ensuring clients are UK Tax compliant, monitoring and maintaining their records in accordance with that. You will also complete income and gains calculations and maintain the tax schedules. Likewise you can expect to have to prepare any supporting documentation for tax related issues for the client or any other teams like the client admin team you liaise. For their multi-jurisdictional clients you might be asked, on occasion, to prepare tax and financial reports. You can expect in light of the forthcoming OECD guidelines to take a leading role in ensuring compliance. Finally you will serve as a central source of advice and mentoring on tax related matters for other staff.

To be considered you must be a fully qualified (either ACCA or ACA) accountant, with at least five years PQE. At a bare minimum you will need three years practical experience in UK tax calculations for offshore trusts. It is expected that you will also have a complete understanding of capital / income splits. It is very important that the majority of your experience comes from working in the offshore environment.
