MI Analyst - Edinbirgh - £22k-£25k + Excellent Benefits

A leading global consumer finance giant seeks an MI Analyst to join one of their credit risk teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developemtn of new MI that supports the operation in improving performance, clarify customer needs, specify requirements and communicate and advise on technical issues.

Responsibilities:

*Develop open lines of communication with the Operational Teams and provide support to meet the demands of the business. Be able to provide relevant and informative commentary on production MI.
*Be responsible for monitoring production MI and highlighting any issues, communicating them effectively through the appropriate escalation channels.
*Actively seek to develop own technical, system and analytical knowledge through training, investigation and project work.
*Pro-actively seek to improve MI procedures and processes, making recommendations for improvement.
*Strive to increase MI production efficiency through automation.
*Document all MI processes and procedures to agreed standards.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

*A good understanding of SAS, including coding Base SAS, Macro, SQL and ODS
*Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work with, and influence, people at all levels of the organisation.
*Strong skills in root cause analysis.
*Ability to work with others in a highly productive team environment.
*Ability to work under own initiative to interpret data with a high level of detail and accuracy, feed back results and make recommendations supported by the findings - and to enable this capability through the provision of relevant information to others.
