Head of HSE

We are working with a global business that provides engineering systems to all manner of organisation within transportation and industry. The group has a business portfolio with clients in the aerospace, marine and energy markets. Following a restructure the company is looking to strengthen the capability of the HSE team so they may continue to provide a world-class service to their international business.

The role will be to interpret, implement and develop Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) management systems and risk control measures to support legal compliance. You will develop, co-ordinate and deliver site related HS&E improvement plans and co-ordinate the delivery of robust emergency response arrangements. You will provide professional advice and consultancy in HS&E management and develop policies and strategies for continuous performance improvement. You will also ensure business objectives are met and report on HS&E performance.

You will deliver a visual approach to the management of key hazards in the business, including the specification of required controls and delivery of programmes. In addition you will establish, maintain and lead all significant accident and incident investigations. You will develop and deliver training, identify applicable legislative requirements and advise management of the actions required to achieve compliance and undertake HS&E audits.

This will suit an individual with senior management experience.
