Basel II Analyst - £350-£400 - North
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in one of the leading UK banks based in the North. They are currently seeking for an experienced Basel II Analyst to join their growing Credit Risk team. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the business deliverables of the Credit Risk Control Unit are compliant with Basel II.
Other key duties and responsibilities will include:
o Maintaining up to date knowledge of Basel II regulations
o Understanding and interpreting regulations to the Business
o Determining gaps that exist in meeting regulatory requirements and communicate the requirements to fill these gaps
o Providing training and communication on regulations to different levels of the organisation including Senior Management
o Communicating agreed processes to relevant managers/ Business areas
o Ensuring required review and validation activities are carried out.
o Assist manager in preparing information packs for the FSA
The strong candidates will be considered with the following skills and experience:
* Good understanding of Banking or Insurance regulatory capital and other relevant regulatory requirements
* Good understanding of finance, capital and risk business operations, models and processes
* Good experience of risk management or compliance or audit
* Good numerate / statistical degree
* Experience of setting up and agreeing standards for end-to-end monitoring processes
