You will be undertaking a caseload of complex statutory work in child protection, working with children, young people and their families. In the assessment teams your work requires you to assess situations and determine the need for intervention or support. All jobs require you to have a commitment to the protection of children and young people from harm. In the long-term teams, you will be expected to: identify and facilitate appropriate services and resources, regularly monitor and review services to ensure they are provided effectively; maintain full and accurate records, prepare and present reports at court; participate in case reviews/conferences and provide recommendations, evidence and written assessments for legal proceedings; achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

As a senior worker you will have complex cases and be expected to provide guidance to junior members of staff.

You MUST have at least 3 years directly related and relevant experience as well as knowledge of English legislation.
