Our international client, engaged in the buying and selling of oil, is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper for their Finance and Control Department.

Reporting to the Finance and Control Co-ordinator, the Junior Bookkeeper will work with the entire accountancy spectrum from Accounts Receivable to Accounts Payable to profit and loss and balance sheets. You will be offered the opportunity to better understand the operations of accounting and finance related to Holding activities, working across the General Ledger, to actively manage the treasury aspects of the company and to liaise with colleagues from different cultures.

Job Profile

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Checking accuracy of invoices upon receipt. Booking invoices into the Accountancy system. Preparing payments of invoices received collecting all relevant documents for authorisation
  • Preparing invoices for contract services
  • Bookkeeping of accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), pre-payments, accruals and depreciation
  • Preparing and booking treasury transactions on a timely basis and ensure accuracy prior to passing the Accountant Coordinator for check and F&C Manager approval. The treasury transactions relate to settlement of receipts, payments, investments and borrowing
  • Reconciliations of bank accounts and inter-companies AP/AR
  • Archiving
