Job Description

Group Control performs a wide range of controlling activities such as planning, budgeting, cost control, reporting and transfer pricing and operates in an international and dynamic environment. This gives you the opportunity to get an overview of all aspects of the company and the chance to work with a variety of people, including the Management Board and senior management. Next to the daily activities, Group Control participates in all finance and control related projects of the company. These projects are rolled out from Group to the local areas. Examples of these projects are the transformation to new financial processes and systems, the improvement of the budgeting and control cycle, the implementation of a new performance measurement system etc.

senior controller in the planning/forecasting team.

Job Description

The focus of your role will be to support the planning/forecasting team in improving the group budgeting/forecasting process (including timeframe and templates), analysing and reviewing unit returns, consolidating all inputs into the group budget/forecast and developing the group business plan (including Management Board presentations).

Each controller within the team will also be assigned a specific business/central unit to focus on. In this way you will develop yourselves as a specialist and sparring partner for this unit. You will regularly contact your unit and work closely with the local controller. Next to that you will join the unit review meetings with the unit directors and the Management Board.

Job Requirements

• Affinity to ITS and interest to work with and develop further the Hyperion-based planning tool is a key requirement.
• We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious person who feels challenged by working at this level in the organization and to acquire knowledge with aspects of control at a group level. Working on this level in the company requires having a flexible attitude (no 9 to 5 mentality) and the ability to cope with a complex environment.
• Strong communication skills are required as often you have to deal with colleagues and managers across hierarchies and country borders.
• You need be analytical and a team player and feel comfortable with working in an international team.

Knowledge, Education and Experience

• You should have a university degree or HBO in Business/Economics.
• Fluency in English is required, verbally and written. A working knowledge of other European languages (Dutch, German, Spanish or French) is an advantage.
