FMCG Statistician / Statistical Consultant – South East

A leading FMCG company is currently seeking a senior statistician to provide remote statistical support for a site based in Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced statistician looking for a varied role and challenging statistical issues.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with research scientists and considering a number of statistical methodologies for their needs.
• Design, analysis and interpretation of studies
• Train personnel to accommodate statistical thinking into their work to streamline business processes
• Manage statistical project work for small, one-off projects and major projects with multi-disciplinary teams concurrently.
• Improve business process by introducing statistical QC where appropriate
• Collaborate with the European team to develop long term departmental strategy

Skills / Qualifications

• A wide breadth of statistical knowledge and experience reflecting the multi-faceted nature of this role.
• Experience of experiment design, statistical modelling and multivariate analysis.
• Expert user of a wide range of statistical software. SAS is essential, SPSS and JMP is highly desirable.
• A MINIMUM of an MSc in a statistical discipline
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to communicate complex statistical issues to non-technical staff
• Fluency in English is essential
• Regular European travel is required with this position
