Principal Safety Programmer – Switzerland

A leading pharmaceutical company are currently seeking a Principal Safety Programmer to implement programs for the analysis and reporting of clinical data. This is an ideal opportunity for a lead programmer with excellent technical skills to progress and play a lead role in a rapidly developing company.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for a programme of safety database and tool development, maximising departmental ability to meet deadlines with impeccable accuracy.
Working with the global head of the safety technology to insure a consistent global implementation.
Advise on data presentation methods
Advise the drug safety team on effective use of the safety database and reporting systems.
Maintain documentation on reporting and analysis, providing quality control checks on colleagues work.
Provide training and technical support to team members.
Assess company needs and develop new protocols and procedures

Requirements:

Exhaustive knowledge of programming languages and data management in a clinical setting
Excellent knowledge of SAS, Oracle and other data analysis tools
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines without supervision
Knowledge of Argus and/or MedDRA
Fluent in English
Excellent communication skills
Previous management experience advantageous
