Underwriting Assistant – Gibraltar

"This rapidly expanding Pan European Insurance company, based in Gibraltar, is looking to add an Underwriting Assistant to its Underwriting team.

It is envisaged the Underwriting Assistant role will, like the individual, develop over time. Currently the main duties revolve around supporting the Underwriting Manager. This will involve reviewing and checking insurance documentation – policy wordings and schedules, service agreements, claims handling agreements, reinsurance policies. As your skills improve you can expect to take a more active role in the policy creation, ratings and the setting of pricing.

To be considered for the Underwriting Assistant position you will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, as the ability to liaise at all levels is essential. You should have some experience working in the insurance industry and individuals who are working towards or partially qualified in the ACII, will be given preference.
