Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation, are a leading manufacturer of water management solutions, surface water drainage products, and cable protection systems, these sit alongside our Green Urbanisation offering, providing a full solution for water management. With a large proportion of our products made from recycled materials sustainability sits at the heart of all we do.

The Role:

To lead CGU’s Sustainable strategic vision in line with the Operational Strategic Pillars. Working with key internal and external stakeholders the coordinator will help influence and support a direction of travel of performance in our support of Zero Carbon through identifying opportunity and celebrating success with data and research at the heart of our approach.

Though the role is intended to be based at Horncastle primarily, the role will require time at Loughborough to develop stakeholder relationships with Product Management & Marketing to enable the delivery of the intended output from the role.

Key Accountabilities:

* Mapping the EPD data for our product portfolio

* Carbon data reporting and validation

* Project and audit lead for ISO 50,001 Energy Management Systems

* Project and audit lead for BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing

* Project and audit lead for PAS 2080 Carbon Management

* Project and audit lead for PAS 510 Operation Clean Sweep

* Ensure any change implemented does not have a negative impact on our business.

* Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety Regulations and maintain a full understanding of HSE legislation that is appliable to the role and the business.

* Work closely with all departments offering guidance and advice if required.

* Identify areas for improvement in sustainable performance.

* Provide training & information to heighten knowledge and awareness for our people to understand their role in our Sustainable direction, including Energy awareness, sustainable opportunities, OCS etc.

* Harness your knowledge to train key stakeholders in all related topics such as EPDs.

* Deliver the adoption of Social Sustainability.

* Support the delivery of Genuit Group ESG targets, SBTI and pathway to Zero Carbon.

* Create a net-zero approach for CGU to support of Genuit Group.

* Identify areas for improvement to build on our ESG, CSR and SBTI performance

The person:

* Relevant previous experience of working within the Sustainability framework.

* Possess advanced PC/Computer skills – MS packages

* Knowledge and experience of delivering metrics

* Degree in Environmental Sustainability is desirable but not essential

* Previous experience of working in a Plastics manufacturing environment, is desirable but not essential

* Knowledge of Operating Systems procedures and deliverables is desirable but not essential
