Assistant Production Planner
One years fixed term contract
£26,000 plus 24 days holidays plus stats and 7.5% pension
Monday to Friday – 35.5 hours per week
Job responsibilities
Working with production plans and maintaining raw material and packaging stocks to ensure 100% OTIF (On Time In Full) deliveries to customers
Duties
* Planning Administration, raising and checking paperwork on receipt and prior to issuing to production.
* Issue production plan to all areas.
* Raise production schedules and ensure the availability of materials and labels.
* Use of process control system.
* Progress chasing, inventory checking and liaising with production/quality/laboratory with planning.
* Raw material and finished goods availability.
* Ensure that achievable production plans are issued promptly.
* Report accurate consumption of raw materials to ensure full traceability.
* Work closely with the Production Team to ensure delivery schedules, requirements and availability are met.
* Provide admin support to Production Manager and Supervisor
Candidate
* Ideally you will have previous experience as a production planner assistant
if not you must have worked within a manufacturing, production or process environments
* Strong organisational skills
* Good IT skills (Excel)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
* Can work independently
* Be able to learn new skills quickly, and have a friendly, flexible work attitude
