Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading biomass power company to recruit a Shift Operations Technician for its site in Thetford.
The Shift Operations Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £42,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting directly to the Shift Team Leader you will be responsible for:
The safe and efficient operation of the plant including pumps, water treatment plant, motors, boiler plant etc
Ensuring the plant is operating within its parameters whilst complying with strict HSE rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
Carrying out first line maintenance duties when required in order to keep plant running smoothly
Carrying out checks and routine walkarounds on site, investigating any issues found.
Working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A relevant technical qualification such as an NVQ/ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline
Experience in operations and/or maintenance in a heavy process environmental involving steam raising (ideally power generation)
Royal Navy Marine Engineers with significant Watch Keeping experience will also be considered
Ideally an IOSH qualification
Personal skills
The Shift Operations Technician role would suit someone who is:
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Self-motivated individual
Able to work to a shift pattern, including days and nights.

Salary of £30,000 - £42,000 dependant on experience.
