I am currently working with an engineering company in Basildon who require an additional CNC Programmer/Setter.
The role:
In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out the programming and setting up a range of Hurco machinery. The work will include:
Proving out program files, operating controls, setting offsets and editing programs
Inspecting and deburring parts for conformance
Periodically operating machines
Completing setting sheets
Measuring and marking dimensions and reference points on work pieces
Adjusting offsets to keep parts in tolerance
Operating lifting devices
The CNC Programmer/Setter we are looking for will have:
Experience in a similar manufacturing role
Understanding of drawings and manual check inspection requirements
Understanding of ERP systems to raise purchase orders, check stock and run reporting
Understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and reliability
The ability to work proactively and effectively as part of a team
The ability to work well and accurately in a time-constrained and pressured environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
A current clean driving licence
The company are offering:
Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:30 with a half day finish on a Friday
