Warehouse Operative
Location: Haydock, WA11, On site free parking available
Salary: £12.50 p/h
Shifts: Mon-Fri 14.00-22.00
Start Date: Immediate
Contract:Temporary position with potential for permanent placement.
Sector: Logistics
All candidates will undergo a DBS check and Drug & Alcohol testing.
A major player in the Supply Chain market is seeking several Warehouse/Goods in Operatives to be based at their Haydock Distribution Centre.
Your duties will include:
Unloading and loading incoming shipments.
Inspecting the quality and condition of received goods.
Updating warehouse management systems to reflect the received goods.
Operating equipment such as PPT trucks and hand scanners.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Communicating and working as part of a team.
An ideal Warehouse Operative will hold the following skills and experiences:
Previous experience working within a warehouse environment ideally within a Distribution industry.
"Can Do" attitude.
Ideally a PPT or FLT experience and licence but it's not essential.
Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and standards.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
Good level of literacy and numeracy.
Ability to work within a team to achieve daily targets
