The Job Role:
We are delighted to be representing our long-standing client as they recruit a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is available due to growth within the company after the successful launch of a new product.
This Facilities Maintenance Technician role will be hands-on and is the perfect role for candidates who have experience of hazardous chemical handling, operating machinery, cleaning of machinery and a background in STEM. We are looking to speak to a high-tech enthusiast who has a personal interest in tech, machinery or chemicals. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience as a Manufacturing Technician, Production Technician, Engineering Technician, Facilities Technician or a Mechanical Technician.
This varied role will include the following roles and responsibilities; -Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the facility – Identifying and addressing any issues that could potentially impact the functionality or safety of the facility – Collaboratively work with and liaise with suppliers to ensure all equipment is in optimal condition – Conducting regular checks of the facility to ensure all equipment in optimal condition – Ensuring fire, health and safety and equipment checks regularly take place – Management of incoming and outgoing shipments (not large volume) – Supporting the wider team with administrative duties relating to the technical facility – Working with the team to provide benchmarking on products – Supporting the Technicians to fix machinery – Packing consumables from bulk raw material into customer packages – Processing parts for customers – Other duties as required by the Technicians and wider team
We would love to hear from candidates who have the following skills and experience; - Experience working within a technical facility – Experience of hazardous chemical handling – Experience working within a semi-industrious working environment – Experience of using hand-tools – Confident working to strict health and safety protocol – Ability to lift up to 30 kg – Exceptional communication skills – Confident to work independently and take ownership of the facility – A calm approach – A keen sense for self-development – Strong reading, writing and arithmetic skills – Computer literate and confident using MS Office – Highly organised – Experience of working in a laboratory environment (candidates who have experience as Lab Technician will be an advantage but not essential) - Exceptional attitude to work
