Job Summary: Provides language, speech and hearing services to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities. Provides individual, group and classroom services specific to Speech and Language development. Ensures treatment efficacy, adherence to internal policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance. Provides ongoing hands-on training, support, and supervision of speech and language goal implementation and data collection to ensure quality and consistency of service provision. Functions as a collaborative member of the school team to promote an optimal student and team member experience in line with Kadiant values.

Essential Job Functions: • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and monitor ongoing performance of student's overall communication abilities, needs, and development • Develop language, speech and hearing IEP goals and objectives • Establish appropriate instructional/learning environment for the student • Develop instructional activities to meet each student's individual language, speech, and hearing goals and objectives • Assist in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); adhere to IEP legal and timeline requirements • Prepare progress reports for individual students including progress on goals and recommendation for language, speech and hearing services • Reassess/evaluate student progress and submit reports in a timely manner to coincide with IEP review meetings • Maintain communication with IEP team members (e.g., annual and progress reports, consultation, telephone calls, informal notes, etc.). • Maintain communication with parents regarding curriculum development • Review and discuss treatment and IEP goal recommendations with Director of Education • Provide education and consultation services to team members and parents for intervention strategies to meet speech and language goals • Work collaboratively in a positive, problem solving manner, with flexibility and active communication across Directors, administrative and clinical team; model and promote company values • Ensure completion of administrative duties (e.g., maintain records of service delivery and outcomes, current schedule, working files on students, intervention notes) • Ensure billing is accurate and completed in a timely manner, assist administrative team, as necessary • Provide daily supervision of SLPAs • Oversee SLPA annual and ongoing performance reviews/feedback • Attend clinical meetings, as needed • Participate in team development activities, as needed Speech L 2 anguage Pathologist Job Description • Follow all Company policies and procedures, as outlined in Team Member Handbook and other written documents • Perform other duties, as requested Positions Supervised (Direct Reports): • Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Minimum Education or Training Equivalent to: • Master's degree, required • Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist, required Minimum Additional Related Experience: • Minimum 2 years experience in public or private educational settings, preferred Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements: • Experienced in evidence-based methodologies in Applied Behavior Analysis; and the treatment of ASD, preferred. • Sensitive to working with ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse populations. • Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bilingual ability is a plus. • Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software and the internet. • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records to meet all requirements for maintenance of SLP License. • Maintains required trainings. May include state and funding specific trainings, such as CPR BLS training, physical management training (as applicable), and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training. • Travels to multiple work sites, locally and out of town, regularly; reliable transportation needed; proof of valid driver's license, current auto insurance identification card and registration, and clean Department of Motor Vehicle record; no conviction or pending driving under the influence prior to and during employment with Kadiant. • Must clear DOJ/FBI background check and exclusion screening processes, prior to and during employment. • Must provide proof of absence of Tuberculosis (TB) at time of hire and every 4 years, or sooner as required by funding sources, from last negative TB reading, and any additional follow-up testing. • Must provide immunization/immunity to Hepatitis B, Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella, Pertussis (whooping cough). • Documentation of Physical Capability to Perform Services (with or without reasonable accommodation). • Permission to Disclose Health Screening Medical Information to required funding sources and complete background checks, as applicable. • Consistently demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills. Speech L 3 anguage Pathologist Job Description • Exercises confidentiality and discretion pertaining to client personal health information, providing minimum necessary information to only those directly involved with the client's case and in an appropriate context (e.g., privacy, discernment for who is present). • Appropriately interprets and implements policies, procedures, and regulations. • Communicates effectively and in a timely manner, e.g., responds to phone calls, emails, and/or text messages within 24 hours.
