JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to join our team to safeguard our warehouse premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all personnel, assets, and property within the warehouse facility. This role requires keen observation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a strong commitment to enforcing security protocols. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Patrol the warehouse premises regularly to monitor for any suspicious activity or security breaches.
* Conduct thorough inspections of all entry and exit points, ensuring they are properly secured and unauthorized access is prevented.
* Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect any unusual behavior or potential threats.
* Respond promptly to alarms or distress calls and investigate disturbances to maintain a safe and secure environment.
* Enforce company security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or any other criminal activity.
* Escort visitors or contractors throughout the warehouse facility, ensuring they adhere to security protocols.
* Complete detailed reports of any security incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences during shifts.
* Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to address security concerns and implement effective security measures.
* Provide assistance in emergency situations, such as fire evacuations or medical emergencies, by following established procedures.
* Stay informed about security trends, developments, and best practices to continuously improve security protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security procedures or law enforcement is preferred.
* Proven experience as a security guard or related field, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
* Strong observational skills and attention to detail to identify potential security risks or threats.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with colleagues, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
* Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick, informed decisions in emergency situations.
* Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and respond to security incidents as needed.
* Proficiency in using security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and two-way radios.
* A valid security guard license or certification as required by state or local regulations.
* Strong integrity and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all security-related activities.
* A registration card from Nevadas private investigator licensing board. If you do not have this, must be willing to obtain one. No training is needed prior to applying, a written exam must be completed with the application submission.
