Senior Planner - Data Centre Construction (UK)

About the Role

A leading infrastructure provider is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planner to join their growing team. You'll play a vital role in supporting project delivery, with a strong focus on their expanding Data Centre portfolio.

What you'll be doing:

* Collaborate with senior planners to provide comprehensive planning support and mentorship.

* Ensure seamless integration of design, procurement, and construction phases throughout project schedules.

* Develop and present compelling proposals for integrated tender programs.

* Analyze the impact of project changes on schedules and advise on potential extension of time (EOT) requirements.

* Create and obtain client approval for project schedules and EOTs.

* Take ownership of complex, large-scale projects and manage them to successful completion with minimal supervision. This may involve supervising other planning personnel.

* Implement lean visual planning tools to enhance project delivery timeliness, productivity, performance, and safety.

* Be prepared to undertake other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.

* Post-graduate degree or relevant technical experience in major construction projects.

* Proven experience in planning services within medium to large construction projects in the UK, ideally with operational experience (e.g., site engineer/agent).

* Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.

* The ability to confidently present project plans to all levels within the organization.

* Demonstrated expertise in planning software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Asta, Timeliner (TiLoS), Synchro, etc.

* A strong understanding and practical application of Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Management Techniques, and EOT analysis.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

* The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload.

* Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
