Remedicare are currently recruiting for an Speech and Language Therapist for our clients care home. Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. This care home have opportunities for an Speech and Language who can work based in Ipswich.

To work as part of an multi/interdisciplinary team providing speech and language therapy (SaLT) input within the Brainkind Neurobehavioural model to People We Support with acquired brain injury (ABI) and to lead on SaLT provision within the service. To liaise with internal and external professionals, family members and People We Support.

Pay: £46,200 - £54,000 per annum DOE

Requirements:

* Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

* Registered with the HCPC

* Achieved Dysphagia Competencies

* A wide range of experience in hospital or residential settings

* Specialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI e.g. social communication, cognitive communication, communication partner training.

* Knowledge and experience of speech and language therapy outcome measures.

* Minimum 4 years qualified experience encompassing complex case management

* Minimum 2 years’ experience working with adults with neurological conditions or 4+ years post registration experience in an alternative clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

* To adhere to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, Health Care Professions Council

* To provide information about service user’s communication abilities and support needs.

* To undertake comprehensive assessments, considering environment, context and future plans, of residents in order to formulate appropriate rehabilitation goals, care plans, communication and dysphagia therapy programmes

* Work as autonomous speech and language therapist within your multidisciplinary team
