CNC Operator (Joinery)

AKA Recruitment are proud to be working with a fantastic client of ours looking for a CNC Operator to join the team in the Blackburn Area.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for meeting machining and fitting requirements through efficient and effective practices while upholding safety and quality standards in compliance with company and client specifications.

As a CNC Operator with joinery experience you will require the following skills and experience;

• A proven background and experience in Multi-head 3 – 5 axis CNC machines

• Experience in machining different substrates – wood, ply, mfc, mdf and plastics
• The ability to interpret technical drawings

• Understanding of machine parameters, tooling, programming and processes.

• A proactive solution provider, able to contribute within a flexible team set-up

• Experience of working within a low volume batch environment

• Ability to read and understand joinery details and drawings

• Proactive nature and keen to work within a small, skilled team and take responsibility for the role.

• Experience in Edge Banders, panel saws and chop saws would be beneficial.

• Solid surface experience not a necessity but would be beneficial.

• Great attention to detail

Working as a CNC Operator you will conduct all tasks to the highest possible standard and work well within a busy and pressured environment. Standard hours are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm with a starting salary at £15.50 per hour.
