Lead Operator

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Lead Operator to join our client's inclusive and thriving team. This full-time Lead Operator role is based in Lincolnshire and offers an attractive salary just over £30,000 per annum and benefits.

Due to the location of the site you MUST have your own transport.

This role would be ideal for someone who has previous Machine Setting & Operating experience, and has either managed or supervised a team of staff, or has been involved with training new operators.

This person would be responsible for various day-to-day functions, from set-up and loading to operating machinery efficiently within the production environment. You should be able to work independently without supervision.

To give you an idea of how this Lead Operator role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:

Actively look to improve department function to push improvement in safety, quality and output
Understand department safety cut-off procedures (air, water to machines etc)
Lead by example and ensure site rules and procedural expectations are adhered to by oneself and others at all times (PPE, time management, etc)
Ensuring quality through the department is maintained on own machine and supporting others
Demonstrating the capability of setting up all machines in your field of expertise and providing detailed feedback when required

Previous experience of Machine Setting/Operating
The willingness to cover your team leaders if required (holidays and sickness) and be a reliable constant support to your team leader and site leaders
Be actively looking to improve the department and work closely with site leaders on continuous improvement projects and trials when required
