Plant Manager

Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Plant Manager within the Major Structures section of the project.

Experienced required:

* Overall management and direction of the plant, equipment operations and resources required for the delivery of the Structures activities on the main line. Implement and manage safe systems of work for the operation, maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment mobilized on site.

* Responsibility for Structures plant and equipment budget including its elaboration as well of financial forecasts.

Essential job requirements:

* Reviews and approves the Subcontractors and Suppliers Method Statements and Risk Assessments produced for their work activities, including Task Briefings.

* Establishes a relentless management plan to keep any equipment or installation up to date regarding their validity especially for the lifting equipment and related apparatus as well as for the electrical installation to guarantee their permanent validity and efficiency in a safe manner

* Defines the plant organisation and plan the resources required to provide an effective, efficient and safe service to the work sections in a timely manner;

* Responsible for all aspects of the subject scope, overseeing plant activities, plant performance and maintenance, ensuring that objectives are achieved in a cost effective way.

* Establishes and maintain key supplier relationships for spare parts, on-site technical services, consumables and other related services throughout the works period;

* Approves the Inspection and Test Plans produced by the works section when regards the use of Plant.

About Balfour Beatty VINCI

Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:

• 42 viaducts totalling over 11km

• 66 overbridges

• More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km

• 56 culverts

• 66 embankments reaching over 33km

• Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures

• Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
