The Harry James Group is working with a global leader in technology, who specialize in PV inverter system solutions and energy storage equipment for residential, commercial, and utility-scale PV applications, who are looking to add to their expanding team with a Contracts Manager.
THE POSITION:
The director of Vendor Management will lead and establish this newly formed Service supply chain organization to provide a transformational experience to PV and BESS BU through integrated business partnering within Service orgs as well as with HQ. This role will involve supporting the advancement of Vendor Management, including building new and optimized processes for vendor identification, vendor selection (sourcing), contract execution, performance management, and termination.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage vendor contract execution and performance management and support new vendor due diligence partnering across business to ensure risk assessment, audit, and vendor compliance processes are followed.
Develop and execute vendor management strategies in alignment with the companys goals and regulatory requirements and establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring that their services meet our quality and compliance standards.
Conduct review of third-party quotations, contracts, and amendments building expertise in RFP analysis and negotiations and developing and applying a strategic understanding of vendor policies and procedures including sourcing and purchase contracts.
Conduct regular performance assessments and risk assessments for all vendors, including monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Manage vendor audits and work with internal audit teams to ensure vendor compliance and prepare and present vendor management reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.
Drive cost competitiveness for SG PV and ESS business service through a) Vendor list/service reviews b) sourcing and network reviews, decisions and implementation, c) tendering / competitive O&M deliveries, and d) localization.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelors degree
8+ years of experience in contract management, vendor management, procurement, or related roles, within the Technical Service fields, preferred.
Change agent mindset with the ability to make decisions with limited information or situational ambiguity.
Demonstrated ability to influence and deal tactfully and confidentially with peers and customers in a dynamic environment.
Lead Contract Negotiator in complex pursuit and claims environment
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Integrity and a strong focus on compliance with internal standards and policies
Sound business judgment, strong independent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills and ability to analyze and interpret contract legal and commercial terms
Demonstrated knowledge of contract administration and management
Experience with vendor management software and tools.
Professional certification in vendor management, such as Certified Vendor Management Professional (CVMP) or Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD), is preferred.
