Production Designer

Production Designer – Full time

We are looking for a production designer who is excited to grow our production team and be an integral part of designing and manufacturing products everyday. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and produce products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.
We are looking to hire a Production Designer to join our team. As a member of the Buttonsmith Production team, you will help make what you design! In this hands-on position, your responsibilities will include:
Graphic design and layout of products such as business cards, signs, banners and buttons
Copy editing and printing customer orders for personalized products
Operation of equipment such as digital printing presses, die-cutters, heat-presses, industrial sewing machines
Packaging and preparing finished products for shipping
Using order management and related software

Requirements
Job-Specific Requirements
Minimum 2 years of practical, hands-on graphic design and layout experience
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Project management experience
Prior experience in printing and/or manufacturing operations is preferred
Copy-editing experience is a plus
Ability to read/speak Spanish fluently would be a plus
High School diploma or equivalent is required; college degree is strongly preferred
General Requirements
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
Must be at least 18 years of age
Able to operate equipment, performing repetitive operations, often while standing, up to 8 hours per day
Able to lift 55 pounds and to maneuver in tight awkward spaces
Available to work overtime as required to meet surges in customer demand
