Job Overview:As the Corporate Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting operations, and reporting for our company. You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, implementing internal controls, and driving financial performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads and senior management to develop strategic financial plans and performance targets.
Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
Financial Analysis and Insights: Provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making, identify trends, and drive operational efficiencies.
Cash Management and Treasury: Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management. Develop strategies to optimize cash utilization, working capital, and investment returns.
Tax Planning and Compliance: Coordinate tax planning strategies and compliance efforts with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Audit and External Reporting: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders for financial audits, reviews, and regulatory filings.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing and engaged team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or CPA certification preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting software.
