The Cloud Financial Analyst is part of the Cloud Business Office team in GTIO. The role reports to the Cloud Cost Management & Optimization Senior Manager and has a deep understanding of cloud financial management and principles, budgeting processes, with a proven track record of optimizing cloud costs and investments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for cloud spending across multiple platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure, Google).
Leverage management tools to identify and act upon optimization opportunities.
Supervise and analyze cloud usage and spending patterns to find opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to optimize cloud resources, including rightsizing instances, demonstrating instance reservations and Savings Plans, and optimizing cloud storage and networking configurations.
Implement tagging and cost allocation methodologies to supervise spending and allocate costs accurately.
Complete monthly and quarterly recovery chargebacks for all Cloud owned SKUs
Design and implement automated processes for cost reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Stay updated on cloud pricing models, cost management tools, and standard methodologies in FinOps.
Investigate cost anomalies and discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and present reports and recommendations to management on cloud optimization initiatives and cost savings opportunities.
