Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday
Location: Leeds
 
A great opportunity has for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer has come up for a client of mine in the Leeds
area.
Our client is a multiple award-winning Automotive Manufacturer who is at the forefront of Electric Vehicle technology and dedicated to a sustainable future. It is a very exciting time to join this growing company who are looking for someone to be part of their exciting journey.  
 
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer role primarily focuses on:

To work close with New Product Introduction to ensure all quality requirements are implemented into vehicle design and then as part of the development build phases measure the adherence to standard of the vehicle and components.
To develop and understand the current vehicle / build concerns and developing robust lessons learnt activities to feed areas into future model design for resolution.
Participate in vehicle benchmarking activities providing feedback into new product development
Support new product introductions, support programme team meetings and timely delivery of quality functional deliverables.
Lead continued development and deployment of Vehicle Inspection & build standards
Investigate quality concerns raised within production, identifying root cause and implementation of robust corrective & preventative actionsThe successful Manufacturing Quality Engineer must have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role
To be able to work cross functionally in a dynamic organisation support both our internal and external customers.
Have an understanding of ISO9001 to enable the delivery of key tasks.
Previous experience of auditing to ISO9001 would be advantageous.
Ability to build relationships cross functionally across the business to support the delivery of projects.
Excellent written skills to support updating processes, audit reports and test processes.
