Manager of Accounting

Job Description
The Manager, Accounting is responsible for managing an accounting team that supports the
finance department and overall organization. Among other things, this individual will lead the
monthly close process, prepare financial statements, perform financial analysis and lead our
annual audit. Spring is a high-growth company. With this comes a wide range of tasks and

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: 
Lead team to achieve departmental goals by providing direction, coaching, and timely performance feedback; support team training, career development planning, and provide work assignments with growing levels of responsibility. 
Manage the financial close process, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including  related footnotes and required disclosures.
Perform analysis of financial statements, detailed financial schedules, key performance indicators, and budget vs. actual.
Lead and manage the external audit process.
Ownership of all technical accounting analysis to ensure compliance with GAAP, including
documentation and review by external auditors.
Maintain an advanced knowledge of accounting standards and trends.
Develop, monitor, and document internal controls.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
