Job Title: Refrigeration Technician
Location: Sanford, NC
Employment Type: Full Time, Onsite
Salary: USD $24.45 $34.90 / hr +Benefits
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts either 6:00am 6:00pm or 6:00pm 6:00am
Position Summary:
The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining refrigeration systems while ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with Client's policies and procedures. This role provides mechanical support to the facility, including troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and installation of equipment related to the ammonia refrigeration system and HVAC.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain refrigeration systems.
Provide mechanical support to the facility, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Perform repairs on various equipment within the facility, both production and non-production-related.
Weld and fabricate as needed.
Monitor the ammonia system to ensure proper functioning.
Repair air compressors, water systems, A/C heat units, etc.
Complete assigned work orders and document them in the SAP maintenance system.
Physical Requirements:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the following physical requirements:
Lift and move up to 75 pounds (with assistance), climb tall ladders, bend, and crouch.
Perform tasks while working from elevated platforms.
Work in wet and humid conditions and extreme cold/hot conditions.
Wear hearing protection due to noise levels in the work environment.
Requirements:
Non-negotiable Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year refrigeration maintenance work experience or graduate of an industrial refrigeration training program. Experience must be documented in the application or resume.
Must be part of the HAZMAT team and pass the Respirator Level 4 physical annually.
Must complete Level 1 Operator training.
Must be able to obtain a boiler license.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Lockout/tag out certification, confined space certification, fall protection certification, and forklift certification.
Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
