Health and safety advisor

The Role.
Avenue recruitment is looking for a health and safety advisor to join one of our well established clients. We need your help to inspire and help our busy operational colleagues execute their work consistently, using health and safety practices. We'll leave you to decide how best to do this, although we know that you won't be standing on the side-lines holding a clipboard and grimacing.
We'll support and encourage your naturally inquisitive nature as you seek to understand the operational challenges your colleagues face on site. We'll be looking for practical H&S solutions and helpful advice delivered in a style that motivates your audience.
Responsibilities:

Carrying out ABC tours (Attitude, Behaviours and Culture)
Execute comprehensive inspections for safety compliance and hazard identification.
Advise on and set safety objectives aligned with project goals.
Support thorough investigations and ensure compliance with corrective actions.
Assess external environments, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Develop and implement safety initiatives; share best practices with colleagues.
Advise on and communicate new practices to ensure legislative compliance.
Actively encourage Safety Observations and Hazard Reporting.Benefits:
