Production Manager - Nights Deli

Salary: Up to £48.000 plus nights shift allowance of £4695

Location: Spalding

Contract Type: Permanent

Benefits: Pension, Healthcare and Bonus

Shift:3's and 2's fixed nights  18:00-6:00

Bakkavor Spalding has three factories based on the same site in Spalding, Lincolnshire, employing over 1500 people. These production units produce soups, sauces, dips as part of our meals range as well as salad accompaniments such as coleslaw and pasta salads, sandwich wraps and food to go salads. 

Responsibilities

Pro-actively managing Health & Safety
Leading and driving standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within your area through Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.)
Managing performance of your teams
Owning the training & development of all levels of team including managers.
Managing the NPD process within your area
Challenging and introducing new KPIs to drive performance.
Planning, organising and measuring labour and material requirements
Managing the communication process to ensure that the workforce in their area is well informed on relevant business news
Supporting and encouraging the Bakkavör values and a positive culture within your area, whilst fostering good employee relations
The recruitment of direct reports and an involvement in all staff recruitment within your area  

You will need

Experience in a production or section management role within the food manufacturing industry.
Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement.
A solid understanding of retailer expectations and how we meet them.
You’ll be a great leader, capable of inspiring and engaging your team, understanding the pressure of a factory environment.
