BIM Coordinator – Construction Interior Fit-Out Projects

* Salary of between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependant on qualifications and experience.

* Discretionary Bonus Scheme.

* Annual leave of 20 days, plus 8 UK public holidays, plus 3 days between the Christmas and New Year period. My client is a leading construction interiors specialists working alongside blue chip contractors on some of the most prestigious landmark commercial construction projects throughout the UK.

The BIM Coordinator Role

They are currently looking for a BIM Coordinator to join an experienced team, working on a range of projects in the commercial building sector. A full detailed Job Description is available but the key purpose of the BIM Coordinator role is:

* To use Revit in the production of 3D models for the groups products.

* To maintain and create accurate 3D models for use by architects and designers.

* To create accurate scheme models for on-site developments to be used in clash detection by the contractor / BIM coordinator, and to create the embedded data in the models required by clients at handover stage.

* To assist in the delivery and maintenance of BIM support across the company.

* To deliver BIM / Revit training to technical staff.

The Successful BIM Coordinator

* Excellent knowledge of Revit and other Autodesk design software such as AutoCAD / Navisworks / Recap.

* Experience working in a design role within an architectural or commercial construction environment would be advantageous.

* Previous experience of working with architects plans and drawings as well as manufacturing details and schedules.

* Understand the timescales / RIBA Stages in the delivery of production information.

* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with practical solutions.

* Ability to convert verbal and written information into 3D models with accuracy and attention to detail.

Additional Requirements Include:

* A recognised design qualification at HNC / BSc Level

* At least 3 years Revit experience

* Advanced IT skills

* Working in a BIM environment

* AutoCAD experience.

* Working with online CDEs.

* Full UK driving licence would be a benefit
