We're looking for a full-time purchase ledger clerk to join a long-standing construction company located near the A66 in the Stockton \ Thornaby area.
The company has been around for 40 years, boasting an annual turnover exceeding £40 Million, and employing over 300 staff members. They operate from a busy office, privately owned, financially secure, and hold a reputable position in the construction sector. Currently, they are eager to expand their office support team.
The ideal candidate for the purchase ledger clerk role will be responsible for various tasks, including:
* Matching invoices with proof of delivery
* Efficiently resolving invoice/payment inquiries
* Demonstrating strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a high volume of invoices
* Essential telephone communication skills
* Prior experience in accounts is preferred, but not mandatory
* Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), with ideally some familiarity with Sage accounting software
* Undertaking general office duties such as photocopying and typing letters etc
* Possessing a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency
* Ensuring all team tasks are completed and deadlines are met
