NLA – London’s built environment community is looking for an exceptional Marketing Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced social media and digital content enthusiast, working as a key member in a close team on a variety of creative and interesting activities.

Introduction to NLA

NLA is London’s built environment community. Our purpose is to make London a better place to live, work and visit.

We explore the built environment and bring the industry together, encouraging debate, learnings and examination of buildings and all the spaces in-between. We do this through a busy year-round programme of research, events, festivals, exhibitions, publications, promoting debate and discussion about the future of cities.

Our fast-growing membership spans across public and private sectors, in London, UK and internationally, and we have two central London public exhibition galleries both with giant interactive models of central London, where anyone can come to learn about future plans for London.

About the role

We are looking for an organised and motivated Marketing Manager to provide a critical level of support to the team across a wide range of tasks.

You will strategise and oversee social media platforms and feeds across NLA’s busy calendar of programmes, including but not limited to Don’t Move, Improve!, NLA research and Events, the London Festival of Architecture, and One City – an influencer-style platform promoting the City of London to its young working audience (132k followers on Instagram; 19.5k followers on TikTok).

You’ll work closely with a content creator to drive video engagement across brands, and oversee the copywriting of marketing coordinators in order to meet ambitious KPIs across different platforms. You’ll also explore commercialisation opportunities across different social media platforms of each NLA project.

NLA is proud to support flexible working in a relaxed and stimulating environment. We believe in giving our staff freedom and trust in order to bring out the best in them. You can work flexibly from our City of London office, our City of London gallery, and remotely.

Tasks include:

* Work with the Head of Communications and Marketing Manager to create social media campaigns that support major projects across NLA and its family of brands;

* Strategise for and track growth and engagement across the different social media platforms within the organisation.

* Curate the One City Instagram feed with daily static photos, and work with a Content Creator to brainstorm and produce regular Reels;

* Oversee the One City TikTok page (~20k followers);

* Work with City businesses and stakeholders and provide regular updates on content coverage for One City;

* Work with freelancers for additional photography and videography needs across the business;

* Consistently analyse and report on social media formats, platforms and campaigns;

* Explore commercialisation opportunities for social media;

* Contribute to team brainstorms and generate ideas for content, brand initiatives and campaigns.

* Line Management responsibility for one Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
