Job Title: Principal Project Manager - Utilities
Location: Midlands
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum plus package (negotiable subject to experience)

Due to significant project wins within the Severn Trent Water programmes, we are seeking a dedicated Principal/Senior Project Manager to join one of the fastest growing utilities infrastructure businesses in the UK. This is a full-time permanent position based in the Severn Trent area, offering flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.
As such, the perfect candidate will boast a robust background in Project Management within the Utilities sector and be open to travelling across the Midlands.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and evaluate all aspects of delivery and financial performance, proactively addressing any anomalies and ensuring seamless communication with commercial and finance teams through meticulous cost reconciliation.
• Lead a team of Project Managers while managing a comprehensive programme of works.
• Collaborate closely with our internal design team to ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Foster productive relationships with various stakeholders, including local authorities, private landowners, and third-party asset owners, to ensure project success.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive programme throughout the pre-construction and ECI phases, seamlessly transitioning to the delivery team for construction.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the delivery team throughout project lifecycles, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Authorize invoices and ensure timely payments within contractual deadlines.
• Hold full accountability for safety and compliance auditing.

Requirements:
• HNC Qualification or higher, in an engineering discipline. (CEng) will be a bonus
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a construction environment
• Financial acumen and ability to adhere to budgets.
• Familiarity with disciplinary and capability procedures.
• Valid driving license.
• Proficient in coaching, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of operational activities and trade skills.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a construction environment.
