Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical Estimator - Near the NEC. Hybrid role - Salary to £65k.

Our client is a highly respected Mechanical & Electrical building services contractor. Due to ongoing expansion and success they require the services of a Mechanical Estimator who will work within an existing team on long term open book partnership contracts as well as traditional opportunities.

You will undertake tenders typically up to £1m but could be as high as £6m, predominately in the Midlands area and also nationally consisting of commercial boiler house refurbishments and upgrades, pipework replacements, AHU installations, De-carbonisation works including Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) and Ground Source Heat Pump) GSHP installations and upgrades across commercial public buildings.

You will prepare mechanical estimates for time, cost, materials, schedule of rates and labour.
Liaise with clients, consultants and other personnel and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
Prepare mechanical estimates and prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
Meet the client as necessary to discuss their requirements and advise accordingly

You will need prior experience in the Building Services sector, whether from an operational or formal estimating background.

Experience in reading and understanding tender drawings and bills of quantities.

Experience working with and developing schedule of rates. SFG20

Strong PC skills in particularly MS Excel, Word, Power-Point.

Experience in 'Estimation' software or other similar estimation programme
