We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a QC Inspector based in Rotherham.

This role pays up to £50,000 plus a strong company benefits package plus an early finish on a Friday.

Position

* Responsible for the correct receipt of site deliveries

* Inspect all incoming goods for quality and advise of any defects or damage

* Full dimensional inspection of all incoming materials and certification

* Verify compliance with traceability requirements (e.g. 3.1 Material Certificates etc)

* Book receipts into our P+ & AESSOP MRP systems

* Identify any material shortages to the Project Engineers

* Follow the Goods Inwards & Quality Control Procedure

* Perform shop floor inspection activities including Dimensional & Welding

* Record welding, material traceability data from the shopfloor and input into AESSOP

* Organise and create AESSOP Requests for NDT, PWHT, Hardness, Pressure Test and Painting

* Perform final inspection and release of items to clients

* Actively participate in stock take activities

* Other tasks related to material accuracy and goods in activities

* Work in a manner, which protects the health, safety and welfare of self and others

* Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business

* Look after company interests at all times

Experience

* Experience in a Goods In role within a manufacturing environment

* Preferred CSWIP 3.1/3.2 certified

* Experience in shopfloor inspections and weld inspection

* IT literate with experience using a MRP system in a manufacturing environment

* Proven ability to read manufacturing general assembly drawings

* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

* You must be able to work on your own initiative

* Forklift experience would be preferred but not essential.
