The Position
We are looking for an experienced marketing leader to lead our marketing strategy efforts within ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for building broad marketing strategies by linking business strategies and data, while understanding the needs of the customer and our cross-functional marketing capabilities. The role is ideal for an experienced strategist who has built and implemented marketing strategies within a tech company and seeks to grow their experience by doing this for one of the fastest growing software companies in the world. We are looking for someone who is a natural collaborator, can drive critical prioritization across a variety of stakeholders in service of our greater business and has strength in communicating within and outside of a marketing organization. This leader should be future-forward thinker and have a pulse on key industry trends that could inform our effectiveness as a marketing organization. The ideal candidate will have an equal understand of both the art and science of marketing, from spend ratios by domain to creative statements of work. Our marketing strategy leader will also have the opportunity to partner across the marketing organization to see strategy through to success – by way of integrated marketing execution as well as influencing our marketing resource management and marketing skills of the future.  
This role reports to the Vice President, Marketing Strategy & Culture and is part of the Strategy, Planning, and Operations function within ServiceNow Marketing. 
What you get to do in this role: 
Lead the creation of annual ServiceNow marketing strategy. 
Refine and oversee end-to-end process for creating overall marketing strategy as well as smaller strategic marketing priorities throughout the year. 
Align cross-functional teams to ensure delivery and progress on strategy. 
Build and nurture strategic relationships with all levels of marketing leadership for input on marketing strategy and therefore our short-,mid- and long-term marketing priorities.  
Partner with colleagues in Marketing Strategy, Planning & Operations to help translate marketing strategy to our annual planning process, ongoing resource management development of marketing skills of the future, and best practices.  
Develop alignment with teams outside of marketing, including corporate strategy, finance, sales and solution consulting, and ServiceNow business units, as well and Communications for input and awareness of ServiceNow marketing strategy. 
Challenge the status-quo to identify new ways for ServiceNow Marketing to drive specific priorities. 
Evolve the maturity and discipline of data-driven decision making. 
Communicate progress against KPIs for strategic marketing priorities.
