Job Description
Provide the necessary leadership required to manage the DC in order to achieve desired safety, financial and service objectives.  Manage activities along cross-functional lines to ensure the maximum benefits for GNC. Consistently look for new concepts and techniques to improve service while reducing costs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform as a key contributor in the development of a world class, team-oriented distribution operation providing optimum service at the lowest cost, along with supporting GNC’s strategic business plan for continued growth and earnings.
Ensure key performance indicators in all areas are consistently met or exceeded, including on-time deliveries, productivity, inventory control, order accuracy, and product damage.
Initiate, develop and implement continuous improvement programs within the operation to improve processes, productivity, financial performance and employee satisfaction.
Ensure that proper staffing levels are effectively achieved within the operation, to include competent, well trained, solid performing employees.  Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly demand requirements are met based on staffing levels.
Gain a solid understanding of all current and future systems, including Red Prairie to ensure all employees within the operation receive sufficient training and adhere to all systems related processes and procedures.
Provide weekly feedback to all direct reports, along with timely, objective annual performance reviews, to include areas of improvement along with training needs.
In conjunction with the Safety Department, maintain safety performance throughout the DC to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Experience
Minimum of 4 years management experience in a high-volume multi-channel distribution center or manufacturing operation. Experience in an automated multi –channel distribution center is a plus. 
Tier one WMS/WCS experience (Red Prairie) a plus.
Education
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related.
Qualifications
Excellent leadership and communications skills required, along with the ability to motivate and empower employees in a team environment.
Ability to successfully achieve key performance objectives, including on-time deliveries, order accuracy, productivity, damage and safety.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to initiate continuous improvement programs, along with strong project management skills.
Solid analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
 
Work Environment
Works in an office and warehouse environment where there may be some variance in temperature, dust, noise level, etc.
