Responsibilities
Coordinating the export of ocean freight shipments from start to finish
Preparing necessary documents and completing customs clearance procedures
Communicating with customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments
Managing shipment exceptions and troubleshooting issues as they arise
Maintaining accurate records and updating shipment information in the company's system
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Participating in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ocean export operations
Knowledge of export regulations, procedures, and documentation requirements
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software, such as CargoWise
Pet Food knowledge a plus
