General Job Description:
Tends to various die cutting machines and cuts various shapes and sizes of chipboard andfilter mediato Burnett's high quality standards. Retrieves material, sets up and operates machines while maintaining all safety regulations.
Specific Duties:
Stocks/loads and operates die cutting machine(s)
Reads job instructions/specifications to determine machine adjustments
Pushes buttons or depresses pedal to activate machine and observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
Must be able to read and understand job traveler and perform to standardized operating procedures.
Records time and quantity on production form
Recommends continuous improvement actions for improving work processes.
Maintains a neat and organized work station.
Performs other misc. duties as required.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of Die Cutting experience desired.
Skills Needed:
Some mechanical aptitude.
Able to stand for a long period of time.
Able to work in a fast paced environment.
Able to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
