Thrive Oldham are recruiting a Fire Safety Officer for the Bury Area

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Facilities Management Team at Bury Council. The FM Team covers all aspects of the building lifecycle undertaking projects from planned maintenance, statutory compliance, and energy management through to refurbishment and extensions across housing, schools, public estate buildings and offices. Our capability builds on over five decades of experience with extensive regulatory and legislative knowledge making sure that projects and the management of facilities are delivered safely, within programme, and satisfy our client's specifications and service expectations.

As Fire Safety Officer you will:
* Create and implement a schedule of fire safety management strategies across all Council buildings including markets, leisure centres, residential accommodations.
* Be responsible for the proactive implementation and oversight of all fire measures across all Council buildings.
* Create new and update existing Fire Risk Assessments across all Council buildings.
* Prepare and deliver appropriate training to Designated Responsible Persons in all aspects of fire safety.
* Ensure the appropriate standards for fire precautions are met and comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Codes of Practice, across all Council buildings.

What makes you our ideal Fire Safety Officer?
* A level 3 qualification in fire safety and risk management eg. NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety & Risk Management or equivalent.
* An Institute of Fire Engineers approved qualification in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment.
* An ability to maintain a quality information system, and experience of investigating incidents, including fires and of advising on appropriate fire safety precautions and fire risk control measures.

In addition, you will be provided with all the support you will need to develop both personally and professionally.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week flexible working scheme based around the usual business working week.
