Job Summary: The Kitchen Supervisor must be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff in order to ensure that meals are prepared in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Ensure Restaurant cleanliness and make sure that food preparation areas, kitchen areas and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- Ensure that Kitchen is restocked for subsequent shifts
- Maintain a neat and tidy appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering to the corporate dress code
- Maintain control of the kitchen to ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively
- Maintain accurate food inventories
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Train the kitchen staff in order to achieve best results at all times
- Use specific kitchen machinery to create customized hot and tasty food items to our customers’ preferences
- Work together with the kitchen team to prepare foods such as burgers, nibbles and salads while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements
Qualifications & Assets:
- At least three years’ experience as a Kitchen Supervisor
- Ability to stand for long hours at a time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work on a shift basis including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Leadership skills
