Care Assistant

A fantastic, family-owned elderly Care Home in Rochdale is currently seeking motivated Care Assistants to join their dedicated care team to work weekday shifts only.

* Night shifts available

* £12.10-12.50 per hour, paid breaks

* Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday shifts only

* 7pm-7am

This beautiful care home has been owned and operated by the same family for over 30 years and has a fantastic reputation with the local area. They are rated ‘Good’ in all areas in their CQC report and offer high quality accommodation for up to 24 residents.

They now have an exciting opportunity for passionate Care Assistants to join their care team on Nights with full support and career development on offer. They can offer support with obtaining qualifications such as the Care Certificate and NVQs in Health and Social Care, as well as medication competency and learning to lead the shift.

Extensive training and support will be provided from Senior Care Assistants and senior staff members to new Care Assistants joining the care team. Full training and inductions will be a staple no matter the experience level of any new Carers joining the care home.

Main duties for Care Assistants:

* Support residents with personal care, eg assisting with bathing, dressing and using the toilet

* Manual handling and assisting residents to move around the home, using equipment where required. Repositioning throughout the night if required.

* Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants to provide a high quality of person-centred care

* Promoting residents' health and wellbeing, enabling them to live their lives to the full in their later years

Desirable for Care Assistants:

* Previous experience as a Care Assistant within a care home

* NVQ’s within Health and Social Care.
