About you:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Support Worker’s for our existing services supporting adults with Learning Disabilities (age range 18 - 70).

Contracts available:

We are currently recruiting for either part time contracts (16 hours) and full time contracts (38 hours) - all roles include sleep in duties.

Roles will include a mixture of shifts Monday - Friday, daytime, evenings, weekends (alternate weekends, working every other weekend) and sleep-in duties in accordance with Rota system.

Main Responsibilities:

* To provide a person-centred approach in the day to day support of Service Users in all aspects of daily living in accordance with their Support Plan.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

* In accordance with the individuals support plan, to support service users in all aspects of their daily lives in a positive and caring manner, ensuring that dignity, respect, choice, independence, inclusion, equal opportunities, and privacy are always maintained.

* Participate in the creation of a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere

* Ensure that service users are given the opportunities to develop their maximum potential, helping to set and support with achieving personal aims and goals.

* Ensure that service users receive appropriate nutrition, preparing beverages, meals and snacks as required encouraging service user’s participation as far as reasonably practicable.

* Maintain confidentiality relating to service users in accordance with company policy and General Data Protection Regulations.

* Cooperate with senior members of the team, providing an optimum level of support with agreed duty rotas including night duty and sleep in arrangements.

* Participate in a team approach to encompass the varied activities regarding housekeeping, e.g., catering, shopping, laundry, and other household duties as required.

* Participate fully in the team approach to integration within the community.

* Maintain awareness of the company’s Operational Policies, cooperating fully with the duties allocated within these policies.

* To participate in the Key Worker system and be allocated to act as keyworker to individual Service Users.

* To support Service Users throughout their contact with the service by supporting them to identify choices and wishes for their future and assist them to record this in their individual support plan.

* To ensure a person-centred approach and participate in the regular evaluation and review of support plans and supporting documentation.

* Medication handling and administration – appropriate to each individual service user.

* To participate in any training and development courses as required.

* Participate in 3 monthly supervision and annual appraisals.

Responsible to - Registered Manager/Senior Team Leader/Team Leader

Hourly rate - £11.65 per hour Monday - Friday and £12.39 per hour Saturday/Sunday, plus additional flat sleep in rate (reviewed annually). Bank Holiday rate - time and a half.

A full driving licence / access to a vehicle would be beneficial for this role. Although not essential
